First day Employability

Today was my first day teaching Employability with the performing and production arts students. Employability is a subject that helps the students prepare for their next opportunitys when finished with college. The students have been having sessions with their progression coach around this topic so it has been quite confusing what i needed to teach them and i felt that nobody was communicating with me enough to let me understand what i needed to do for this subject. The subject employability seems an obvious subject to discuss but as i have already seen the performing arts talk about cvs and what jobs are available within their subject it has made me think have they already spoke about what i have planned for them? I have the idea for both groups to put together a portfolio that can be added throughout the year and they could maybe link some of this work to another unit which is business. The reason why i have thought of putting together an online portfolio is because i have always used wix for my portfolios when i attended my performing arts course at university. Unfortunatly i was unable to come in to teach as i was not feeling well so i will be using this fridays session for the next week. I will also expand my ideas as i have an extra week to do so.
