HAND IN DATE .....

Here it is, the final day of PGCE. Oh no wait, we've been given the weekend to complete our portfolio..... But still we are at the end.

First I would like to discuss how my Employability session went with Production Arts today. It was fantastic. Again I had them to complete work sat at the computer and it seems to work! I wonder if this is because they are a technical bunch that like to be creative using equipment? All my Production Arts are up to date with work and it feels brilliant. I am not worrying as much now as I know I have evidence to show that my students are making progress with their work and with their behaviour.

I also received my final observation grade today. It was a grade 3.....

I knew it was going to be a grade 3 because of the behaviour but I am also going to take this grade 3 as a way of looking at reality when teaching. As my tutor stated it does depend on your class. You may have a class that will give you a grade 1 but then you may have another next lesson who would give you a grade 4. If the respect is not there then that's where points will be deducted. I suppose I can use this observation to reflect at what I would do if this behaviour happens again. I was informed that I can scrap a session plan completely when being observed if the students are not being respectful. I wish I did this but as I was being observed I was unsure if that was allowed.

Anyway, here's my last ever reflection. Im now going to FINISH my portfolio.
