For todays session we all had to arrive at the forge teesside building in darlington for a library introduction. Despite being a graduate from Teesside Univeristy already we were informed that this session is mandatory. As i live in Middlesbrough i felt that this introduction to the library can be a waste of time for myself and other students as we would be coming in for 20 minutes and some students already know how the system works. ortunatly i had an observation booked in on the same day so my journey to Darlington College would not be a waste of time after all. When we sat in for this session myself and another peer did get distracted as we were sat infront of a computer our screens could not be seen. I do feel bad for how we acted as i would hate it if my students did the same to me. I also felt embaressed when the lady who ran the session asked us to stop giggling. I knew we were acting wrong but as we were so against this session our attitude towards it turned negative. This made me think as a teacher what i would do if my students reacted like this. I would check who NEEDED these sessions before telling all my students that they HAVE to attend this session. I think it is unfair for students who do not live in the Darlington area as they can use this time off to go work on any assignments due.
