Unfortunately i have not attended the Uneducated rehearsals lately as i have been trying to catch up with my PGCE and TAQA work. How ever tonight i went to watch their first performance of this show.
As i arrived all students were in character as well as the production arts students. This gave the performance a great atmosphere. One of the production arts students at the box office was dressed as a head teacher which gave the audience the impression as if she was in charge. I was very impressed with this student as she is not a performing arts student but still taken on the role as a character.
When i walked into the venue i noticed that all students were in the first positions as the audience where taking their seats. The audience were positioned around the stage which gave us all a different view at different angles.
From beginning to the end of the show i was very impressed as their teacher as i can now see a huge different in their performance skills compared to how they were from the beginning of the year.
Students seem to be taking on different techniques that they have learnt within lessons which have now been taken on stage with them
One particular student has impressed me the most as he seemed very quiet at the beginning of the year but seems to be coming out of his shell. Myself and other tutors have always said he has potential to become a fantastic actor and i can see that he is going in the right direction.
